A circular counter wraps the grill, so skewers of Shiga's Omi chicken change colour over the Bincho charcoal right in front of you. Behind it are four fully private rooms for up to four guests each. 58 seats in total, and parties up to 20.
Bone-in thigh, tsukune and local vegetables. A cup of the milky broth comes first. In one of the four fully private rooms you can close the door on the steam and take your time. The 5,000 yen mizutaki course (8 items) includes 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink and finishes with ramen.
We break down Shiga's Omi chicken in-house and grill it one skewer at a time. The circular counter around the grill shows you the whole process as the skewers change colour. Momomi, seseri, sunazuri — they arrive in the order they finish.
A three-kind chicken tataki assortment of momo, mune and low-temperature liver, with just a little yuzu pepper. At the counter or in a private room, this is where the evening starts.

We break down Omi chicken in-house and skewer each cut its own way. Chiran chicken for the sashimi, morning-fresh chicken for the pots. Instead of calling ourselves fresh, we show it in the day's work.

We have four fully private rooms, each seating up to four guests. Two minutes on foot from the east exit of JR Minami-Kusatsu Station, on the 2nd floor of Liberty Minami-Kusatsu. 58 seats in all, open daily 17:00–24:00 (food L.O. 23:00 / drinks L.O. 23:30).
Can you come alone after work? A circular counter wraps around the grill, so you can watch Omi chicken skewers finish over Bincho charcoal from the front — even if it is just one drink. Food last orders are at 23:00 and we close at midnight.
How large a party can you take in Minami-Kusatsu? Up to 20 guests. Courses are for 2–14 guests, from 5,000 yen including tax with 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink, in five variations. We do not offer whole-restaurant hire. The four private rooms suit family meals, small farewell parties and girls' nights.
How do you get here, and how do you pay? Leave by the east exit, walk about two minutes, and we are on the 2nd floor of Liberty Minami-Kusatsu. There is no car park, so please use a nearby coin park. À la carte prices are before tax with a 5% service charge; course prices include tax and carry no service charge. We accept cash, major credit cards and PayPay.
What is Omi chicken? A branded chicken from Shiga, firm in texture and full of flavour; over high-heat Bincho charcoal the surface chars while the inside stays juicy. Our signature is Hakata mizutaki — bone-in thigh, tsukune and local vegetables simmered until the broth turns milky white. Drink the broth first, then finish with ramen or zosui. 全体的に食感が良い具合に調理されており、味付けもとても良かったなと感じました。ただ、タレの焼き鳥は物足りなさを感じ、塩で食べるのがおすすめな感じがしました！ 1人で行きましたが、提供スピードが早すぎず丁度いいところや店員さんの雰囲気もとても良く飲むことができました！
生の刺し身があれば⭐6個やな ももみは確かに旨かったです🤤
同じ系列の隣の魚丸さんから2軒目で利用させていただきました。写真は魚丸さんのです 可愛らしい店員さんオススメの鶏串５種盛り合わせ。注文してから5分くらいで提供され、黒七味をかけて食べるととっても美味しかったです！ 1軒目のレシート定時でドリンク一杯無料だったのも嬉しすぎるサービスでした。 大きな円卓のようなカウンター席に、落ち着くBGMもナイスでした。
南草津で“ちゃんと美味い鶏”を食べるならここ。 南草津の 鳥丸 にて。 この日は ・水炊き鍋 ・焼き鳥 ・鯖ポテサラ ・鳥丸ハイボール をいただきました。 まず水炊き鍋。 スープが澄んでいるのにコクがしっかりあって、優しいのに物足りなさゼロ。鶏の旨みがまっすぐ伝わる感じ。〆まできっちり楽しめるタイプです。 焼き鳥は安定感。火入れが絶妙で、シンプルに「ちゃんと美味しい」。変に奇をてらっていないのが好印象。 個人的ヒットは鯖ポテサラ。 燻し感とポテサラのなめらかさが合っていて、ハイボールが進むやつ。 そして鳥丸ハイボール。 すっきり系で料理の邪魔をしない。水炊きとも焼き鳥とも相性よし。 派手さというより、“誠実にうまい店”。 ゆっくり話したい日にも、ちゃんと飲みたい日にも使える一軒。
